Back again this fall and winter, join us on select Sunday afternoons for fireside stories during The American Indian Winter Storytelling Hour by JoDene Sherwood (Blackfeet/Assiniboine/Cree). Each storytelling hour will conclude with a Native American dance demonstration. The series kicks off on Sunday, October 27, with some spooky stories right before Halloween to get you in the mood! The Howling Buffalo Skull story is a little bit spooky and will keep you guessing what the outcome will be.
Sunday, November 10 will have stories of The Hunter's Moon! Learn about the Legend of the Red Eyed Duck and why you shouldn't do certain things alone at night.
Sunday, November 24 features Lessons from the Sky, stories about the Sky People and their interactions with the people on Mother Earth. Love, betrayal and consequences are all key themes that will keep you entertained.
Sunday, December 8 brings us closer to winter and Winter Nights, with stories of what can happen only after the snow flies!
Light refreshments courtesy of The Fort Restaurant will be served at each session.
Advance purchase tickets are required. Content is for all ages!
Adult tickets are $10, children 7-12 are $5 and children 6 and under are free. FREE Parking!
