"The Amara Rose Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2022 after the founders lost their daughter, Amara, to accidental fentanyl poisoning. We are a 501 (c)(3) charity that is passionately dedicated to raising awareness and educating in order to save lives and families.
Amara was only 31 when she died. She had struggled with addiction, poor mental health and insecurity for many years. The disease of addiction had a firm hold on her, and she was unable to be healed, even after numerous inpatient treatment stays, counseling, unwavering support from her family and countless prayers. We believe Amara is safe in Jesus's arms and experiencing the peace and freedom only heaven can provide. And we know we'll see her again.
As we wait... our foundation gives heartfelt and hard-hitting presentations all over the Coulee Region. We are proud to have many people in recovery volunteering for us, and one of our directors is in successful recovery as well. We raise awareness by holding events, posting on social media, and talking to anyone who wants to listen. We place educational flyers in area businesses, schools and churches. We recently purchased 9,000 drink spike-prevention stickers with fentanyl and Narcan messages on them, and you will find them in area bars, pubs, and night clubs. We distribute Narcan and fentanyl test strips. We have educational billboards up on occasion. We are doing all we can to save lives and families, and it takes donations and grants to keep going.
Your support will help us continue to fulfill our mission in honor or Amara and all the others who have become martyrs during the fentanyl and drug epidemic."
We hope to see you there! All of your support truly helps make a difference!
