Welcome to The Alliance of Literary Societies Fair
Join us for a day celebrating books, reading and the people who enjoy them. Organised by the Alliance of Literary Societies, the umbrella organisation representing more than 120 literary societies across the UK, the Fair is a unique opportunity to discover the rich world of literary societies. Meet readers who share your interests, explore societies devoted to Victorian fiction, poetry, crime writing, children's literature, classics, biography and many other authors and genres, and find out how you can get involved.
Throughout the day, enjoy talks from an outstanding line-up of speakers including James Naughtie, Lindsey Davis, Liz Berry, Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Gyles Brandreth, browse book stalls, have books signed, and spend time with fellow readers. Whether you're already a member of a literary society or simply enjoy reading, you'll find plenty to inspire, interest and entertain.
