Topic One: The AI Shift in Cybersecurity: What Breaks, What Survives, What Wins

Cybersecurity is entering a new phase, defined not by a single tool or technology, but by a fundamental shift in how work gets done.

In this session, Mikhael Felker shares a “state of the union” perspective on how AI is reshaping cybersecurity functions and decision-making. Drawing from experience across enterprise environments and startup innovation, he will explore what is changing rapidly, what remains constant, and where security leaders should focus to stay ahead.

The discussion will go beyond AI tooling to examine how core functional areas, including vulnerability management, offensive security, secure development lifecycle (SDLC), security operations, GRC, and hiring are evolving in practice. Attendees will gain concrete examples of how traditional workflows are compressed, augmented, or replaced, alongside areas where human judgment, risk trade-offs, and organizational design remain critical.

This session is designed for security leaders and practitioners who want a clear, practical lens on how to prepare for the next phase of cybersecurity, and how to position themselves and their teams for what comes next.
