Get your hearts pumping!!! Welcome to the Triathlon South Winter Series.
This is a three-race series and provides a great opportunity for all levels to compete or just have fun, regardless of experience and fitness. We will hold all three races on a completely closed course (no vehicles) at the MyState Bank Arena. At each of these races we also have award winning Pete McKenna’s Try a Tri TRYstars series for the younger athletes 7 to 12 years olds who love to run and bike.

How to be a Series Winner!
Of the three Sprint Distance races, your three scores will be calculated and a major cash prize of $100/$50/$25 each for 1st/2nd/3rd Female and Male will be up for grabs together with the names of best Female and Male etched on to a perpetual trophy and presented after the conclusion of Race 3. Note a Youth (12-14) Short Course & Junior (age 15-19) Sprint Series Prize will be given to best placed Male and Female over the three races.

Teams: Please enter as an individual, then prior to check out you will be asked if you are a Team or not. Please add your team name at this point. Only one team member needs to enter. On the day of the race your other team members will be asked to sign a wavier at the registration desk. Good luck!

• Race 1: Sun 3rd August 10:00am @ MyState Bank Arena – Sprint and Short Course Duathlon
• Race 2: Sun 24th August 10:00am @ MyState Bank Arena– Sprint and Short Course Duathlon
• Race 3: Sun 21st September 10:00am @ MyState Bank Arena – Sprint and Short Course Duathlon
Where:
• MyState Bank Arena, 601 Brooker Hwy, Glenorchy
Please note, Entries close: 8 PM, night before the race (you can do a paperless entry after this time but late entry fee applies of $20, up until 1 hr prior to race start)
Event distances:
* Short Course: Run 2.5km, Ride 8km, Run 1.25km (age rules apply: 12 year olds can enter as a solo
participant or as part of a team)
* Sprint: Run 5km, Ride 18km, Run 2.5km (age rules apply: 13 year olds can only compete as part of a team, 14 year olds can enter as a solo participant)
Age Category:
Note: Age as at 31st of December 2025 for this season.
• Youth (12-14) - Youth are only eligible for points/prize money in the Short Course race
• Junior (15-18) - Juniors are only eligible for points/prize money in the Sprint Course race
• Senior (19-39)
• Veteran (40-49)
• Super Veteran (50+)
The Race Day Lowdown:
TRYstar Race:
• Try a Tri TRYstar Racing starts 9am with registrations at 8.30am
The Main Race:
• Race Day Registration and Transition both open at 9.00am and will close at 9.40am
NOTE: No entries allowed at Registration Desk. Admin Fee applies for late online entries.
• Race brief at 9.45 am
• Race start: (Sprint and Short Course) at 10:00 am
• Presentations approx. 11.30pm
Entry fees are the same for Short Course and Sprint distances:
• Triathlon South members $30.00 (INCLUDES Member discount of $10)
• Triathlon Australia members: $40.00
• Non-Members of Triathlon Australia $50.00 (INCLUDES fee for One Day Licence)
• Teams $50.00
• Junior $30.00 (Add $10 if non-Tri Aust member & take off $10 if Tri South member)
• Late Entries/ Entries on the day:
LATE ENTRY FEE $20 for entries after the cut off and up until 1 hr prior to race start. We've gone paperless-ONLINE ONLY!
The fine print:
*In addition to spot prizes on the day, a small prize will be given to 1st ,2nd, 3rd placing Male and Female in the Sprint and Short Course. And to the winning team of Short Course and Sprint.
*Over all Series points for the major prize will only be allocated in the Sprint race and will only be awarded for overall across the line (ie not age categories). Points will be taken from your 3 results from the 3-race series. Please Note a Youth (12-14) Short Course & Junior (age 15-19) Sprint Series Prize will be given to best placed Male and Female.
*This series will count towards the end of year Club age category winners and Triathlete of the year.
