Lightwire Theater returns to The Murphy Theatre with another spectacular light show version of a classic tale — The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare - The Next Gen.
The story begins with Aesop’s classic fable of The Tortoise and The Hare where the “slow and steady” Tortoise defeats the nimble but overconfident Hare. But what happened after the race? This Next Gen story continues the tale and features Tortoise Junior and Lil’ Hare in a whole new kind of race, where their adventures lead them into unexpected territory. Old man Tortoise
and Big Daddy Hare must come together despite their
differences to find and save their children. What hurdles will they have to overcome to make it to the finish line?
This dazzling, one-of-a-kind performance brings beloved characters to life through stunning electroluminescent costumes and breathtaking choreography that will leave kids and adults alike completely amazed.
After the show, get a behind the scenes look, as Lightwire actors give audiences a glimpse into the everyday items and technology that make the magic happen!
