About this Event
Join us for an adoption forum, with the main event focused on the new book, with a reading, signings, and a few words about author Lorri Antosz Benson's adoption journey and how adoption is an adventure. This will be in collaboration with a handful of adoption-related organizations scattered in the space with their own small tables with info on their missions.
About the book:
With a mission to empower adopted children, Adoptees presents diverse and accomplished icons like Simone Biles, Steve Jobs, Faith Hill, and Nelson Mandela. Each figure's adoption story is shared alongside a quote that inspires young readers to understand that being adopted is just one part of their identity, not a limitation. Benson’s aim is to show children that they can achieve greatness no matter how their story began.
About the author:
Lorri Antosz Benson is a 2-time Emmy Award-winning producer/writer, and family advocate based in CA. She has written four books, including three on adoption, To Have And Not To Hold, Adopting Hope and the latest Adoptees Who Changed The World, a children’s book. She is currently working on a documentary, and serves as Strategic Advisor for Harvest Home, an organization that supports pregnant homeless women in LA.
