The 5th Annual OLD-TIME WINTER BREAKDOWN

Warm up your winter with Friends of Old-Time Music and Dance at the fifth annual Old-Time Winter Breakdown — a weekend celebrating Appalachian music, dancing, musicianship, and community.
The weekend kicks off Friday night with a square dance featuring Steve Ballman calling to Kanawha Tradition. Then, on Saturday, dive into Appalachian Heritage Day with hands-on music workshops, an all-day Instrument Petting Zoo, recording opportunities, and sessions in dulcimer, fiddle, harmony singing, bluegrass guitar, dobro, banjo, songwriting, mandolin, and flatpick guitar.
Saturday evening brings the Old-Time Winter Breakdown V Concert, featuring The Bing Brothers Band, Travis Watts & Mountain Blessings, and Johnny Staats & Robert Shafer. Bring an instrument and join the community jam before the concert!
Whether you come to dance, learn, play, listen, or simply enjoy the community, the Old-Time Winter Breakdown is a weekend built for anyone who loves traditional music and the people who keep it alive.
