About this Event
What Will I Learn?
The 5 Pillars of Emotionally Intelligent Kids is grounded on attachment research and shares the foundational building blocks for emotionally healthy children, starting with a secure parent and supported by the four walls of exploration, protection, grace, and truth. Strategies for balancing all four walls over time are presented along with the four parenting tendencies all parents gravitate to in their insecurity. Insights on helping parents rewrite their own stories, becoming emotionally engaged with their kids, and writing their family narratives in a setting of love will be presented.
Onsite workshop materials, continental breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks provided.
CEU Eligibility:
- 6 Core Hours approved by GAMFT
- 6 Core Hours approved with LPCA-GA. *This workshop may be applied as a "Related Hours" workshop for LCSW attendees.

- Explore why emotional safety is critical to the development of the five pillars of emotional intelligence core and how this informs the way parents connect with their kids in the midst of fear, anger or sadness.
