The 4th Annual Summer Blockfest – Hip-Hop Festival & Community Celebration

HOBOKEN, NJ — The highly anticipated Summer Blockfest Hip-Hop Festival & Community Celebration returns for its 4th Annual event on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 770 Jackson Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. Founded by community advocate and cultural organizer Victor M. Lopez Jr., Summer Blockfest has grown from a grassroots neighborhood gathering into one of Hudson County’s most impactful cultural events.

Powered by @whathobokensoundslike and @whatjerseycitysoundslike, Summer Blockfest continues its mission of uplifting local artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders while celebrating the influence and legacy of Hip-Hop culture.

Since its inception, the festival has transformed Hoboken’s Southwest neighborhood into a vibrant hub of music, art, and community engagement, earning recognition from local media and the City of Hoboken for its continued cultural and civic impact.

“Summer Blockfest was built to create opportunity, celebrate culture, and bring people together,” said Victor M. Lopez Jr., Founder of Summer Blockfest. “What started as a neighborhood idea has grown into a platform that uplifts local talent, supports small businesses, and showcases the creativity that exists throughout our communities.”

In addition to its cultural programming, Summer Blockfest is proud to announce a partnership with the Hoboken Public School District for a Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway. This initiative will provide free book bags and school supplies to local students, helping families prepare for the upcoming school year and reinforcing the festival’s commitment to youth development and educational support.

Staying true to its motto, “From the Block, For the Culture,” this year’s festival delivers its most dynamic lineup yet.
