The Summit returns to Soaring Eagle for a fourth year.
The Credit Union Economic & Investment Summit is three days of working education on the investment side of the credit union balance sheet. Over the course of the event, the CUISG team walks through where we sit in the interest rate cycle, what that means for the securities a credit union already holds, and how to think through the next portfolio decision before it reaches the ALCO. The credit union balance sheet is the only one we work on, and it has been since 1986.
Who it is for
The sessions are built for the people who carry the investment decision at their institution. CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers, and ALCO members will find the material aimed squarely at the calls they are responsible for. If you sit at the table where portfolio strategy gets set, this room is for you.
What you take away
You leave with a clearer read on the rate cycle, a working framework for what each holding is actually there to do in the portfolio, and guidance you can bring straight back to your board and ALCO. Every strategy discussed is anchored to NCUA 12 CFR Part 703, so what you learn is what you can put to work when you get home.
The team teaching it
The Credit Union Investment Strategy Group (CUISG) of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., has served credit unions exclusively since 1986. That is more than 40 years and five recessions spent on this one balance sheet, backed by over 150 years of combined experience across the team. Education First has always been how we approach this work, and the Summit is the fullest expression of it.
Venue and dates
Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan hosts the Summit for the fourth consecutive year, April 14 to 16, 2027. The full agenda, session times, speaker lineup, and room block details are being finalized over the coming weeks and will be posted here as they are confirmed.
