The Keene Lions Club is excited to announce the 37th Annual Great Ashuelot River Virtual Duck Race, taking place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 beginning at 5:30pm at the Keene Recreation Center Lions Pavilion. This event is in partnership with the Keene Rec Center and coincides with Mr. Wilbur’s Peanut Carnival.
This family-friendly event supports the Lions Club’s mission to empower volunteers and partners in improving health and well-being, strengthening communities, and offering humanitarian aid around the world. All proceeds help fund initiatives that promote peace, international understanding, and support for those in need, locally and globally. Ducks can be adopted in advance at www.keenelions.com/duck-race or purchased the day of the event.
• Yellow Ducks: $5 each or 5 for $20 - Prizes: $5,000 (1st), $1,000 (2nd), and $500 (3rd, 4th and 5th)
• Purple Ducks: $150 each (limited to 150 ducks!) - Prize: $3,000 for the winner
The race will be held virtually, but the event promises plenty of in-person fun! Join us for free food, exciting games, and activities for all ages. Bring your friends and family for a day full of smiles, laughter, and community spirit, all while helping to support a great cause!
