Join the Rwandan Community of Western New York for Kwibuka 32, the 32nd Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
This solemn gathering honors the memory of more than one million lives lost in just 100 days. It is a time to stand in solidarity with survivors, reflect on the consequences of hatred and division, and reaffirm our shared commitment to truth, dignity, and humanity.
Kwibuka—meaning “to remember” in Kinyarwanda—is not only about remembrance, but also about learning, unity, and ensuring that such atrocities never happen again.
We welcome community members, leaders, and organizations to join us in this important moment of reflection and collective remembrance.
