This year we will be offering:
*Yoga
*Strength Training for Women
*Nutrition tips to Maximize Heart Health
*and much more!!
This event will be supporting the Hope Ministries at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in West Allis.
The Hope Ministries clothing closet and pantry serve 150 families totaling 650 people in West Allis. The families are referred to the Hope Ministries directly by the West Allis school district as these families are either facing homelessness or are in transition between homes. The Hope Ministries provides both food and clothing to the families based on a points system depending on the size of the family, which allows them to have choice in what they are receiving. Not only does the Hope Ministries food and clothing to the families on a regular basis, the Hope Ministries also provides other services to the families such as:
*Backpacks and school supplies
*Thanksgiving meals
*Christmas presents
*Winter boots, jackets, and snow pants
*Used dishes and blankets
*Hygiene items
This is a unique, relational ministry where families feel at home as they "shop" for the things they need. The Hope Ministries is run totally by volunteers and therefore every dollar donated to them goes directly to the services they provide to their families.
