About our Musicians:

Kamahaʻo Haumea-Thronas is a Hawaiian singer and musician hailing from Kauaʻi, celebrated for his unique fusion of traditional Hawaiian mele and contemporary musical styles. He has gained recognition for his performances at the Kamehameha Schools song contest, as well as for his numerous shows across Hawaiʻi and internationally.

Kamakakēhau Fernandez is a distinguished Hawaiian musician and falsetto vocalist, vocal and ukulele Kumu. He gained acclaim as the 2003 winner of the Richard Hoʻopiʻiʻs Leo Kiʻekiʻe Falsetto Contest and has also received a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award.

Ipo Kahaunaele, commonly referred to as “Lady Ipo,” is a renowned musician from Kauaʻi. In addition to her musical talents, she is an accomplished emcee, hula dancer, former radio personality, and Kahu. Throughout her career, she has traveled globally, sharing the spirit of aloha through her music.



About our Hālau:

Hālau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leināʻala, led by Kumu Hula Leināʻala Pavao Jardin, is a renowned hālau from Kauaʻi that participates in prestigious competitions like Merrie Monarch and the Queen Liliʻuokalani Hula Competition. It embodies Hawaiian culture, dance, language, and history.

Hālau Ka Pā Hula o Hīnano is a distinguished hālau located in Kauaʻi, guided by Kumu Troy Allen Hīnano Lazaro. The hālau has actively participated in numerous events across Kauaʻi and recently competed in the Kū Mai Ka Hula competition on the island of Maui.

Hālau Ka Lei Kukui Hiʻilani, under the leadership of Kumu Hula Leihi’ilani Kirkpatrick, traces its origins to her hula journey, which began alongside her family. Influenced by esteemed mentors she embarked on her professional career in 1968, starting her Kauaʻi Hālau.

Hotel Parking Options: Parking options at the Kaua`i Beach Resort include the following three choices: 1. Valet parking at the porte-cochere; 2. Free event parking in the unpaved area beyond the covered parking stalls — get there by turning right at the first opportunity and then take a left into a dirt field; or 3. Enter the first gated area on your right, a bit closer to the ballroom entrance than the dirt entrance, and turn into that gated area. Press a button to make the gate rise, collect a ticket issued by the machine and hold onto it. Get it validated just inside the ballroom door to receive a special validation for a $10 total parking fee. Use that ticket to exit the gate, paying the balance due at the gate with your credit card.
