THE 24 HOUR THEATRE PROJECT IS BACK FOR YEAR TWO!
October 17 will be here before we know it, and we’re gearing up for another wild, creative, completely unpredictable day of theatre-making!
24 hours.
5 brand-new plays.
One unforgettable experience.
ACTOR SIGN-UPS begin on OCTOBER 1 at Noon.
Slots are limited and will go quickly.
Come back to our socials on the day for the link!
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!
At 7:30 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026, the 5 writers will meet. Each will receive, at random, a quote of inspiration and a genre. The writers will then have 12 hours to write a 10-minute play. At 7:30 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, the writers and directors will meet at New Bern Civic Theatre. Scripts will be assigned randomly to directors. Actor auditions will begin at 8 AM. Shows will be cast and then you will have until 7:30 PM that day to rehearse your show and present it to a live audience!
If you wanna in the audience for this exciting event, tickets are available now and only $5! Purchase your tickets at: newberncivictheatre.org
