Southgate Community Players is proud to present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, our first musical since 2019! Performances will be held on February 21, 22, 28 and March 1 at 7:30 PM, with matinee performances on February 23 and March 1 at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and students, and are on sale now at the link in this event.An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
Contains Mild Language and Crude Humor; Recommended for Ages 14+.
