The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious, heart-warming musical comedy about six quirky middle-schoolers (played by grown-ups!) competing for the coveted spelling trophy. Along the way, they—and we—discover that winning isn’t everything, and growing up is hard to spell.
Packed with improv, audience participation, and laugh-out-loud songs, this Tony Award-winning musical celebrates every awkward, joyful, and unforgettable moment of adolescence. Directed by Nancy Matican-Bock, Surfside Playhouse’s production is smart, irreverent, and irresistibly funny.
