For the past 50 years, the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood has contributed to the community by supporting important projects that benefit many. For example, with The Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region, our club helps provide a place for children to practice safety lessons without the risks associated with the larger community. The children learn and practice pedestrian, car and bicycle safety. We all have a great time volunteering at special events for Fall, Winter and Spring holidays. At the Winter Wonderland event in 2025, over 5000 children chased the Grinch and danced under the lights while learning safety first.
Your sponsorship helps ensure the safety of school children in Durham Region.
Our club also contributes to important local institutions such as Lakeridge Health, the R.S. McLaughlin Regional Cancer Centre, and the Participation House, Locally, we help support the Oshawa Senior Citizen Centres+55, the Salvation Army, Simcoe Hall, Grandview Kids, and the Denise House. We are especially concerned with issues of food insecurity and, to help, we support Kids Against Hunger (Canada) and Feed the Need Durham.
As part of Rotary International, we are committed to the eradication of Polio through the End Polio Now Campaign, as well as many other important global projects.

Rotary connects 1.4 million members from 200 countries and geographical regions. Our work impacts lives both at the local and international levels, from helping families in need, right here in Oshawa, to working toward a polio-free world.
Rotarians are neighbors, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world. With differing occupations, cultures, and countries, Rotarians are given a unique perspective. Their shared passion for service helps Rotarians accomplish the remarkable.
