Biologist & Wildlife ConservationistFor nearly three decades, Jeff Corwin has been telling stories of wildlife and nature to a global audience through his many celebrated television series on ABC, NBC, Travel Channel, Food Network, Disney Channel, and Discovery Networks. Jeff is currently the creator, executive producer, and presenter of the groundbreaking television series Wildlife Nation, broadcast on ABC. Wildlife Nation explores the remarkable story of North American conservation, highlighting heroes working to save endangered species and wilderness, while forging a strong bond between the audience and the natural resources they depend upon. The mission is to empower a diverse community with stories of environmental stewardship, conservation, and the plight of imperiled wildlife.
Beyond television, Jeff’s acclaimed NBC documentary and book, 100 Heartbeats, engaged both readers and broadcast audiences in the 21st Century plight of endangered species. Jeff is also the author of 10 books on wildlife and nature, including Living on the Edge: Amazing Relationships in the Natural World.
Jeff is a leader in conservation, recognized through his work as a television host, producer, journalist, author, explorer, and wildlife biologist. His lifelong global exploration, academic training, and partnerships with top scientists allow him exclusive access to the compelling stories from the battlefront of conservation. This show is part of the Frederick Speaker Series. Now in its 13th season, the Frederick Speaker Series has developed a reputation for bringing world-class speakers to the Frederick area. The goal is to engage our community through enlightening discourse and meaningful topics. As a result of the Series, Frederick’s reputation as an intellectual hub continues to grow, drawing audiences from D.C., Baltimore, and beyond.
Each Speaker also has a MEET & GREET opportunity associated with the performance, purchased in addition to the ticket to the Event itself. For an additional $75, you can engage with these incredible Speakers for a photo opportunity, a signing opportunity (whenever possible), and light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The Meet & Greet is NOT a valid ticket to the speaking engagement itself.
The proceeds of all Meet & Greet events benefit children’s programming at Frederick County Public Libraries.
