Minnesota Forestry Get-Together 2025

You are invited to join us for the 2025 Minnesota Society of American Foresters Annual Meeting, now known as our Forestry Get-Together. The Minnesota Forestry Get-Together will bring together members of Minnesota’s forestry community for continuing education, professional development, networking, and MN SAF business meetings. Please note – the Annual Winter Meeting is open to everyone interested and it is not exclusive to SAF members.

Current forestry and natural resources students are strongly encouraged to attend. Registration is free to all students enrolled in a forestry or natural resources related program within the state of Minnesota (students register here).

Events will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bemidji, MN. Lodging is available at the Hampton Inn or other nearby hotels. Group rates for the Hampton Inn & Suites are available at $119 + tax. To be included in our group’s block of hotel rooms, please call by February 24th and note the “Minnesota SAF Meeting.”

At the Minnesota Forestry Get-Together, you'll have the chance to learn about the latest trends and advancements in forestry, gain valuable insights from experienced speakers, and exchange ideas with fellow attendees. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your forestry journey, this meeting offers something for you. Our agenda is coming soon, please keep your eye out for it.

Early bird registration for $150 ends on February 28th.

Minnesota Stewardship Plan Writer Credits (6+) and SAF Continuing Education Credits (TBD) will be available.

Brief Agenda

March 18:

MN SAF business meetings, Student tour of local forest products mills, Highlighting Minnesota Forest Researchers, Incorporating Research into Practice, Banquet Dinner, Forestry Trivia, and a Bean Bag tournament.

March 19:

Eco-Anxiety, Understanding Anxiety around Climate and the Environment, Lunch Buffet, Technical sessions including Private Landowner Outreach, Seed Collection and Reforestation, Managing Deadwood, and others.
