The 2024 Colzie, Ellenwood & Yilmaz Rattler Booster Golf Tournament

Come join the fun at The 2024 Colzie, Ellenwood & Yilmaz Rattler Booster Golf Tournament at The Jake Gaither Golf Club in Tallahassee, FL. This opportunity allows for camaraderie and networking. Most importantly this tournament is a fundraiser for FAMU Athletics. Our student athletes and sports programs need your support.

The FAMU athletic tradition, as fostered by the Rattler Boosters, supports Rattler athletics’ quest for excellence. This goal is accomplished by ensuring that student athletes benefit, both academically and athletically, from their Rattler experience.

The Rattler Boosters embrace the University’s motto — “excellence with caring.” Therefore, Rattler Boosters are passionately driven to support and enable anchors for enriching the FAMU experience of student athletes and the athletic department in their shared destiny of academic excellence, winning, and serving as role models in the community.

Tournament Information

Fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, morning snack, lunch and great prizes.

Awards & Prizes

Following the tournament there will be a luncheon where trophies will be awarded to first, second, and third places based on gross team scores. Awards will be given for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Additional prize items will be given out and several exciting auction items will be presented.

Scoring

Each foursome will compete in a scramble format (each team selects best shot from the tee through the last putt). Each golfer will be limited to three mulligans (one for $5 and three for $10).

Foursomes

For convenience, we recommend that you bring a foursome to the tournament. If you are unable to do so, we will assign you to one. This is a shot gun tournament, the space is limited to 44 golfers, so participants will be accepted on a first paid and received basis. You will need to provide name, team name, company name, and handicap.
