The world's biggest one-day dance event in the world, the 18th Annual Dance Parade and Festival, returns to the streets on May 18, 2024.
We are expecting 10,000 dancers from over 100 dance groups dancing 100 plus different styles of dance! Dance Parade starts at noon on 17th Street and Sixth Avenue, proceeds to 8th Street and Astor Place then finishes at Tompkins Square Park where DanceFest begins for more dance with multiple stages and a free dance area!
This is a FREE event with limited tickets available for our Grandstand viewing area.
Interested groups, dance companies, and arts organizations are encouraged to register before March 31st, 2024, to take advantage of FREE registration. Registration for individual participation is free. Performance opportunities in the festival are by application (see registration) and are considered by a committee upon parade and festival registration. Festival performance stipends up to $500 may be awarded to groups.
