How far would you go if you knew you couldn't fail? You're invited the the second annual 16 Hour Lock-In trail race. Participants have 16 hours to complete a 4.5 mile loop as many times as you want. In this spirit, athletes of different abilities can compete in the same event, whether your goal is to finish a single lap or many laps. Because the State Park shuts the gates for the night at 7pm, the event is a "Lock-In", i.e. anyone participating past 6 pm will either camp overnight or arrange alternative pick up.
The 16 hour time frame allows ultra runners and the ultra curious ample time to try your hand at a variety of distances, from the half and full marathon, to the 50k, 50 mile, 100k and beyond.
Top 3 finishers (most miles in 16 hours) awarded in Male, Female, and Non-Binary divisions. Cool punk rock patches given for finishing a Recognized Race Distance (13.1 / 26.2 / 50k / 50 mile / 100k).
