The prevalence of Marijuana/THC use (currently 18-20% of those 12 and older) continues to increase and the perceptions of risk continue to decrease despite studies pointing to significant risk factors for mental and physical health. Roughly 3.5% of Pennsylvania residents are enrolled in the state's medical marijuana program. There is mixed data regarding THC use and physical and mental health concerns. In this training we will discuss the specific implications of THC usage amounts as it impacts wellness. We will explore the current trends of medical and non-medical THC usage, efficacy, and health implications.
