This year, why not mix it up and get together with family and friends to give thanks over brunch? Azzurro Restaurant at 18001 Collins Avenue on Sunny Isles Beach is inviting families and friends to try something a little different this year. The special offering will take place on Thursday, November 28, from 12:30 - 3:00 pm.Guests can start with the Signature Florida ‘Sip’ of Cranberry Orange iced tea, followed by a selection of creative soups and salads, such as Caribbean Butternut Squash-Sweet Potato Bisque and Shrimp and Corn Esquites Salad. There will be a Local Chorizo and Green Bean Salad, as well as Hearts of Palm Salad and Black Bean & Quinoa Tabouleh. A classic Caesar Salad station will be set up, along with cured meats and an assorted cheese board.
Those looking for non-traditional Thanksgiving flavors, can enjoy a hummus bar with traditional hummus and babaganoush, served with marinated olives, toasted ‘Garbanzo’ beans, mint cucumbers, Feta, pita bread and assorted flatbreads. For a Florida twist, the Seafood Bar will include options such as Spiced Shrimp Cocktail, Rock & King crab, oysters on the half shell and smoked salmon with cream cheese, traditional condiments and bagel chips.
Traditionalists will enjoy the Herb Butter-Basted Turkey, slow-roasted and carved to order, served with celery herbed stuffing and cranberry sauce, or the Beef Bourguignon. There will also be Sweet Potato Casserole with toasted pecans and Haitian Spicy Crispy Pork with Caribbean rice and peas. Hearty side dishes include Butter Whipped Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, baby vegetables, and warm dinner rolls with butter will be served.
Younger guests can enjoy selections from the “Thankful for Our Kids” menu including mini slider burgers & fries, chicken tenders, mac’n’cheese, buttered corn, and carrot and celery sticks. The whole family can finish on a sweet note with Homemade Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake, and assorted mini desserts.
Brunch will be offered from 12:30 - 3:00 pm, with both indoor and terrace seating available. The brunch is $85 per adult and $35 per child (excluding gratuity).
