About this Event

Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea

Come join us for a home-made traditional English Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea! The menu will be sandwiches and a savory surprise, scones with jam and cream, cupcakes, macarons and a sweet surprise, all made fresh by our expert baker Eva. There will be music and fun trivia.

A portion of proceeds will go toward Agape Hope for Kibera, a local charity in Africa's largest urban slum (Kibera, located in Nairobi, Kenya) to provide sanitary napkins for girls. The money raised will be matched by the church.

Eva Choy is a passionate home baker who makes artisan baked goods to order. She has been baking all her life as a hobby. Her passion for baking blossomed after college when she enrolled and received her baking certificate at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and thereafter further honed her skills at Northwest Culinary Academy.

While desserts are her strong point, she also dabbles in savory pastries. She makes everything from scratch using quality ingredients and sourced local ingredients. She does not use preservatives and bakes to perfection, ensuring freshness.
