Thank 2,000 Soldiers – Mortgage Manfro Gives Back

We could never thank our service men and women enough for the sacrifices they make for our freedom. That’s why Mortgage Manfro Gives Back is bringing our community together to say thank you to 2,000 soldiers—one handwritten card at a time.

We’ve partnered with HugsForSoldiers.org to make this happen. We have purchased thank-you cards and supplies to provide to participants, but you’re also welcome to write a letter or create a custom card. Please be sure to review the guidelines below.

This initiative is perfect for schools, classrooms, churches, businesses, teams, and organizations—but if you’re an individual or a family who wants to participate, we’ve got you covered too. Whether it’s one card or hundreds, just reach out and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to thank our soldiers.

• We provide blank thank-you cards and supplies
• You write heartfelt messages of gratitude
• Completed cards are returned by 2/15
• All cards are screened by Hugs for Soldiers and included in care packages sent to troops

• Schools, classrooms, and student groups
• Churches, youth groups, and community organizations
• Businesses and teams looking to give back together
• Families or individuals who want to participate—even if it’s just one card

No group is too big or too small. If you want to participate, we’ll help make it easy.

• Keep messages upbeat and positive
• Thank them for their service, sacrifice, and time away from home
• Sample salutations: Dear Hero, Dear Brave One, Dear Service Member, Dear Warrior
• You may include an email address if you’d like (optional)

• Cards only (no envelopes)
• Card size: 8.5” x 11” or smaller
• No glitter, confetti, or loose materials
• Be creative—draw pictures, share encouragement

You can also come by that day to write cards on-site—we’ll have cards, supplies, and lunch provided.
