This session, delivered by Dan Turner, UK Head of Fire Safety at Balfour Beatty, explores the realities of fire safety within today’s complex workplaces and operational environments. Using real-world examples, it will examine common causes of workplace fires, emerging risks, and key lessons learned from incidents across industry.

It will highlight how organisations can move beyond compliance to implement effective fire risk management, focusing on prevention, preparedness, and coordinated emergency response to protect people and business continuity.

Attendees will also gain a rare insight into the strategic leadership, direction and assurance for Fire Risk Management within a national multi billion pound company, offering a unique perspective on how fire safety is driven at scale.
