The ISC2 Thames Valley Chapter welcomes all members and non-members to attend its next HYBRID event on Thursday, September 24th 2026 starting at 6:30pm BST and finishing at 9:00pm BST.

Our event will start at 06:30pm with the networking among our attendees eating delicious pizzas and drinking fizzy stuff, kindly offered by our sponsor CGI. Between 07:00pm and 07:55pm we will hear our first guest speaker Gabor Javorszky, who will present on the topic of "Writing a security scanner from scratch and other unhinged cybersecurity experiences." Following, between 08:00pm and 08:55pm we will hear our second guest speaker Devesh Devesh, who will present on the topic of "AWS - Hybrid Networking best practices."

Gabor Javorszky Bio:
Senior Engineer, Software for F5 Networks. – F5 is a multinational enterprise delivering network and application security products across the globe. “We secure every app”
Gabor Javorszky has been with F5 since July 2023, and has been working on NGINX Unit since October 2023. Previously at a Canadian startup, Suborbital, he was working on delivering WebAssembly capabilities for companies allowing them to extend their services with user-supplied functionality. He’s bringing that experience to F5, and is currently working on enabling NGINX Unit to run WebAssembly components natively.
Originally born in Hungary, Gabor moved to the UK in 2010 where he’s been with a number of digital agencies and worked for various e-commerce companies in the UK and the US.
Outside of work Gabor is an avid motorcyclist, traveller, amateur woodworker, and data protection advocate.

Devesh Devesh Bio:
Cloud Engineer for Visa. – Visa is a global payments technology company facilitating digital payments across more than 200 countries and territories. "Everywhere you want to be."
Devesh has been with Visa since February 2023, and has been working within the Cloud Platform Team. Previously at the fraud prevention firm Featurespace, he was working on designing a PCI-compliant hybrid cloud PaaS environment. He’s bringing that experience to Visa, and is currently working on designing, testing, and deploying an industry-standard compliant and secure virtual infrastructure using AWS and Azure.
Originally an alumnus of Kurukshetra University, Devesh moved his professional focus to the UK where he’s been with a number of innovative tech companies and served organizations across the Cambridge and Reading areas.
Outside of work Devesh is an active cloud security contributor, serving as a Secretary for the Thames Valley Chapter, and holds advanced credentials including CCSP and AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
