Thames Riverside Walk: Waterloo to Borough Yards
About this Event
You are invited to join this leisurely walk through the heart of London, taking in some of the capital's most iconic riverside landmarks and viewpoints. Along the way we will discuss the prominent landmarks as they materialise.
Starting at Waterloo Station, we'll cross the Thames via the Golden Jubilee Bridges and enjoy a stroll through the peaceful Victoria Embankment Gardens. Onwards we follow the Victoria Embankment, exploring the legacy of Sir Joseph Bazalgette's remarkable engineering achievements, and the new embankment bearing his name.
We then make our way across the striking Millennium Bridge, with its excellent views of St Paul's Cathedral and the City skyline, before finishing at Borough Yards. Here there are plenty of opportunities for refreshments and further exploration. The meeting point is the Sidings entrance to Brewdog and the walk is approximately 3 miles long. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
