Join us for two exclusive nights of a special Thai Izakaya experience featuring Chef Pap Wongsakorn Amorncharoenchai, a celebrated chef from Boston. Chef Pap, who has honed his craft across two cultures and continents, will be showcasing his culinary journey through an inspired menu.

In collaboration with Sake Noire, the two will team up to provide a one-of-a-kind izakaya experience!

• Curated Izakaya Menu by Chef Pap, featuring a fusion of Thai street food with Japanese izakaya-style small plates.
• Curated Sake Menu: Quanx of Sake Noire will be creating a night of funky sake, hot sake, and sake cocktails to go with the flavors of Thai and Japanese cuisine
• Thai & Japanese 80's-90's City Pop: Enjoy a playlist of retro Thai and Japanese city pop, funk and jazz
• Limited Seating: Hosted in Kai's speakeasy backbar, a hidden gem in the midst of the University District
• Exclusive menu: This menu will be the only one of its kind for the remainder of 2024, so hurry and experience something daring!

This is a rare opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind Thai Izakaya menu, crafted by a chef with deep roots in both Thai and international culinary traditions. Purchasing tickets as a way to reserve your seat are highly recommended as walk-in availability is limited.

Menu Sneak Peak:

Curry white fish cake with fresh crab meat claws

Cold poached chicken breast with sour pepper oil

Salty egg yolk and shelfish oil crudites

Steamed oysters with eggplant tapenade

Shrimp paste rice with crispy pork rinds/grilled pork jowl add on (limited availablity)

Cellophane noodles with binding vegetables in quick dip broth/grilled pork jowl add on (limited availability)

• Dates: Thursday, October 17th & Friday, October 18th
• Location: Kai’s Thai Street Food & Bistro
• Price: $30 per person (includes a welcome bowl of homemade oden and featured sake)
• Menu: Additional dishes are availalbe for purchase a-la carte until sold out
• Time: 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM with last call at 10pm
• Dietary Restrictions: Due to the small scale of this event, there are no accomodations for allergies. However, the regular menu is available for purchase at Kai's should you need alternative dishes. Note that dishes on the regular menu will take longer than normal due to the nature of the event ongoings

• Seating: Kai's backbar is a very small space; therefore, the seating is limited and there are some family style tables. First come, first serve and don't be shy to sit next to one another just like folks do in izakaya's in Japan!
• Dining Times: Due to the small space, each ticket reservation has 1.5 hours to enjoy their dining experience and 30 minutes of relaxed exit time.
• Off-menu: The Kai's Thai Street Food and Bar's regular menu will be available upon request. However, the beverages NOT associated with the pop-up are only available at the front bar. Please make your way up front for further libations, and you may bring the drink back to your original seat if you'd like.
• Arrival Time: Please arrive within 15-20 minutes of your ticket time
