The 4th Thad's Pinball Wizard Challenge: a Tournament to benefit the Madison County Animal Shelterπ Sunday Sept 7

Thad Seeberger was a lifelong gamer and expert technician who became friends with our owner Paul Yates over discussing complex game fixes, PCBs (printed circuit boards), and vector monitors. He was a true Pinball Wizard! Thad ran a pinball and video game route in VA and MD, co-founded Alltek Systems' product line of pinball PCBs over 20 years ago, and provided help to anyone and everyone who had a game they needed help with to fix. When he passed suddenly in 2021, we at Decades wanted to keep his legacy alive through a tournament that honored his dedication to the industry & spread his cheerful passion for gaming.

Everywhere Thad went, he brought his beloved dog Luna, a deaf black & white border collie. Our beneficiary is the Madison County Animal Shelter, to assist them in their mission of reuniting lost pets with their owners and finding adoptive homes for stray dogs and cats in the Madison County community where Thad lived.

π£ $25 Entry Fee, $15 of which goes directly to the Madison County Animal Shelter (the remaining $10 covers tournament costs)

π£ 12:30-2pm Practice time during Decades Arcade public hours, 2pm is deadline to sign-up, 2:15-2:30pm Announcements, 2:30pm sharp Tournament begins
π£ Match Play Fair Strike Qualifying - 7 strikes & you're out until we are down to 8 players (assuming we have 24+ players). Assigned groups of 3 or 4 players each. Winner gets 0 strikes; middle places get 1 strike; last place gets 2 strikes. Top 8 will do an Amazing Race Finals on pre-1999 games. Finalists will solo-play 7 different games in a cascade/race fashion where the player with the lowest score on each is eliminated until we crown a winner! IFPA-sanctioned event. Standard IFPA rules & procedures apply. Games with chimes are 5-ball & games with speakers are 3-ball. You can play 1 extra ball on games 1990 & older. On single-player games, Tilt ends game.
