Jody Beck works in ceramics and monotype with a similar approach to encouraging the loveliness of texture out of unpredictable processes and layers of play.
“Correspondence” - Judy Frank
Judy Frank is a mixed media artist whose work reflects a lifetime of making, designing, and teaching art. Inspired by nature and everyday surroundings, she creates richly layered abstract paintings exploring rhythm, memory, pattern, and the traces that time leaves behind. After careers in graphic design and elementary art education, Judy now works full-time in her studio.
Drawing on her backgrounds in both design and education, Judy builds compositions that balance structure and spontaneity through bold color, typography, geometric forms, and textured surfaces. "My paintings aren't planned, they're discovered, one layer at a time," she says. Her work invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover beauty in both the familiar and the unexpected. Correspondence is Judy Frank's first gallery exhibition.
