Textile Collage Workshop with Monica Czukerberg @ CAMP

The CAMP Gallery is thrilled to share that Miami based artist Monica Czukerberg will be joining us at our North Miami gallery to host a special workshop, Saturday, September 26th from 12-2pm.
As an extension of the themes of her group exhibition In Need of Temperance, alongisde Amanda Kate Walker and Katie Davis, Czukerberg wil be hosting a beginner friendly Textile Collage Workshop focusing on floral patterns that relish on the beauty of emotional expression. Inspired by the native flora of Mexico, Czukerberg will continue her exploration of how abstraction can be a conduit for the translation of our emotional world and our sensory experiences with nature.
Important Note for Participants:
Each participant would create a small textile collage on a canvas with materials all provided by the galleery and the artist. The idea is to use geometric patterned fabrics as the background and then layer pre-cut fabric flowers and leaves to create a unique floral composition. It is an accessible, fun, and creative workshop that works well for participants of all artistic levels.
The gallery will also be serving non-alcoholic beverages for all, and alcoholic beverages for participants 21+ .
Monica Czukerberg (b. Mexico)
Monica Czukerberg is a Mexican contemporary visual artist based in Miami whose interdisciplinary practice explores the transformation of nature, memory, and reclaimed materials into immersive visual landscapes. Working across painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, and installation, she creates works in which color becomes a language of emotion while reclaimed materials embody ideas of resilience, renewal, and human connection.
Originally trained as an architect, Czukerberg holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte and an MFA in Photography from Barry University in Miami. Her artistic development was profoundly influenced by more than a decade of mentorship under renowned Mexican painter Eugenia Orozco.
Beyond her studio practice, Czukerberg is the author and illustrator of the children's book Emociones en Color and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects that connect contemporary art with education, fashion, and community engagement.
