Please join me (Freight Train) in welcoming Yeti or Not to our state for an amazing afternoon of roller derby coaching! Yeti is a triple threat and is mostly known for her defensive and offensive blocking skills, as well as being a powerful pivot!
This clinic is open to all. Junior and Adult Skaters. (2 sessions)
Goal: Expand Roller Derby knowledge in Texas and surrounding areas by offering skaters the chance to learn from various high-level skaters worldwide, gaining fresh perspectives and inspiring new ideas.
About the Guest Coach:
Yeti or Not, Here I Come is captain of the Gotham Roller Derby All-Stars, a member of Black Diaspora Roller Derby, and a co-captain of the 2025 USA Roller Derby training squad. She has been skating since October 2015, and travel coaching for the last three years. She spent several seasons helping coach the Santa Cruz Derby Gromshells (Junior League).
About your Host/Coach:
Freight Train has been skating since childhood and has participated in roller derby for 14 years. With ten years of coaching under her belt, she has traveled globally, coaching players of all skill levels and engaging in various forms of roller derby. Renowned as a power/strength jammer, she currently represents the 2025 USA Roller Derby Training Squad, Angel City Derby, Rockin' City Roller Derby, Austin Anarchy, and Black Diaspora. Previously, you might have seen her with the Texas Rollergirls (2015-2023) and Houston Roller Derby (2011-2014).
Freight Train believes in the importance of self-investment through acquiring new knowledge and perspectives and wants to share that experience with like-minded skaters.
THIS CLINIC MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST FIT FOR NEW (None Bouting) SKATERS UNLESS THEY WORK WITH OTHER NEW/SIMILAR SKILLED SKATERS.
Approx Schedule:
12:30-1:00pm Check-in/Wavier Signing/Merch Sales/Warm up if Track is cleared.
1:00-3:00pm Junior Power Hours with Yeti and Freight Train (1 hour per coach)
3:00-7:00pm Adult Clinic
7:00pm-7:30pm Goodbye/Thanks for Coming
