The Texas 7-on-7 Tournament, hosted by Brazos Valley Roller Derby (BVRD)
December 5-6, 2025
Brazos County Expo Complex: 5827 Leonard Rd, Bryan, TX 77807
Texas 7-on-7 uses a WFTDA style rule set with a few changes:
-20 minute games, rolling clock, 4 penalty foul out
-double elimination - each team is guaranteed two games
-open gender (BVRD loves and welcomes everyone)
-adults only
-players can only be on ONE roster (you cannot skate under another name/number)
-each team will pick a division, be allowed to bring up to 9 skaters (7 active players and two bench coaches in a game)
-each team gets one time out or official review - if a team calls a time out within the last 3 minutes of the game and the score is close, the game clock will be stopped
-the game clock will only stop for official time outs if the time out takes longer than one minute
Gunslinger: This will be a heavy hitting bracket made for teams that are bringing their A/AA players. Are you looking for high level derby?? This is your bracket!
Buckaroo: This would match what you see in most league home team games and travel teams.
Please note: ALL of Texas 7-on-7's is gender neutral. The Buckaroo division tends to be *mostly* women but everyone is welcome.
