There are things in our lives that we want to make better. That for whatever reason we cannot make better.
Sometimes it’s our fault, sometimes it’s theirs, sometimes the fault lies nowhere. It’s possible to see the same picture and grasp a different scene.
What do you do when you cannot have what you want, when you can’t be who you want?
When my dog Rizzo died, I couldn’t imagine loving another dog—but I also couldn’t imagine a life without one. So I stayed in that in-between space longer than I wanted to.
The world will let you down, not out of cruelty or malice, but because it doesn’t bend to our expectations. The world simply is. And allowing something to be what it is can be one of the hardest lessons to learn.
These are stories about living in that space.
Doors open around 7:00 pm. This is a general admission show, arrive early to assure you have a seat.
