Acclaimed violinist Tessa Lark will present a captivating program including original music and more.About this Event
Corigliano's Violin Sonata is the centerpiece of this program: a brilliant tour-de-force of both emotional and technical virtuosity, borne of a young John Corigliano's impassioned attempt to reverse his violinist father's disapproval of his son's choice to be a composer. Violinist-composer luminaries--and friends--Fritz Kreisler and Eugene Ysaye are also featured, along with original works by Tessa Lark directly inspired by these two fiddle legends; and Bela Bartok's evergreen Romanian Folk Dances opens the show.
- Unticketed walk-ins are permitted based on availability. Seats are not guaranteed. If concert is sold out, unused seats will be released 5 minutes before the start time.
- Performances and screenings in Tateuchi Hall are suitable for ages 7 and up. To ensure the best experience for all guests, children should be able to sit quietly during the performance (approx. one hour).
- CSMA’s 2024-25 Community Concert Series is supported by the Applied Materials Foundation and the Rotary Club of Los Altos. Thank you to our sponsors!
