Tesla Quartet

We first heard the Tesla at a classical brunch concert in New York, and their playing filled the room with astonishing power and grace. Their name honors Nikola Tesla, the visionary scientist and inventor, and much like their namesake, the quartet is known for its forward-thinking and original approach to the chamber music canon. They have been together for 18 years, meeting as students at Juilliard, have won major prestigious competitions, and perform in the world’s greatest halls. For us, they will perform Haydn: String Quartet in F# minor, Op.50 No.4; Bacewicz: Quartet No. 6; and Schumann: String Quartet in A major.
