Take a seat and start cruising with Carmelo Messina through the geography and the history of wine, its terroir as well as what to look for in a glass of wine and how to describe it, Carmelo will introduce you to the diversity of the vineyards, wines, Italian culture and more.
Carmelo Messina is a Gold Pin Sommelier of the Italian Sommelier Association, with an additional Master in Professional Wine-Tasting.
He has been working for over 30 years in the Hospitality and Wine Distribution between Italy, England and US. In Las Vegas he worked for pluri- awarded wine list restaurant Valentino at the Venetian Hotel with over 2,000 wines selections before moving to wine sales and education for major distributors.
The world has thousands of different kind of grapes, and a myriad of Appellations.
Wine can make you travel geographically and back in time with numerous stories of dueling knights to draw land boundaries and old wine bars in Pompei.
