Terracotta Pot Painting and Design + Planting
About this Event
Join us for the return of Asase Aban: Elders and Sprouts, a free community-centered workshop series bringing together Black youth, adults, and elders through art, land, and shared learning.
As part of the TRCA's Bramalea SNAP and BYFC, join us for a hands-on workshop where creativity meets care. Participants will design and paint their own terracotta pots, exploring personal and cultural expressions of care through pattern, colour, and symbolism. Each pot will then be used to plant a seedling, offering something living to take home and nurture.
Rooted in land-based learning and intergenerational exchange, this session invites reflection on how we care for the land, our food, and each other.
