☀️Beginners with Myf
6-7pm Thursday @ Grouse Studio, 3/62 Aralia St. Nightcliff
8 Classes: 9 October - 27 November
Bellydance for Beginners is just that! No experience necessary but a willingness to shake your jiggly bits, get in touch with your inner camel and let your snake arms be free, is!
Join Director of Darwin Bellydance, Myf, for an hour of fun where you will learn the fundamentals of Oriental dance aka Bellydance, a short choreography to take home for lounge room performances and a chance to shimmy up a storm with like minded individuals! Be quick as spaces fill up fast!
Returning Dancers are recommended to complete 2 to 4 terms of Beginners classes to master the basics before moving to Intermediate classes.
Please bring a bottle of water & wear comfy exercise clothing, no shoes required.

☀️Beginners with Myf *filling in for Sharon this term*
10-11am Saturdays @ Room 1, Palmerston Recreation Centre (PRC)
8 weeks: 11 October - 29 November

☀️Intermediate with Myf
7:15-8:15pm Thursdays @ Grouse Studio, 3/62 Aralia St. Nightcliff
8 classes: 9 October - 27 November
A class for dancers who are ready to progress to more complex or layered bellydance moves & combinations. Gain greater muscle control, increase your coordination, knowledge of bellydance, fitness and flexibility - all while having fun grooving to fabulous music!
**Minimum requirements to join this class is 2 terms of Bellydance beginners or as advised by your Beginners class teacher - be sure to ask if you are ready or let them know you’d like to try the class.

☀️NEW CLASS: Fan Veil Class with Myf (Intermediate & beyond)
7-8pm Wednesdays @ Grouse Studio, 3/62 Aralia St. Nightcliff
8 Classes: 8 October - 26 November

A brand new class that will explore dancing with silk Fan Veils - a fairly new prop to be adopted by Bellydancers. Learn the essential techniques to be able to handle your fan veils with grace and style. We’ll do sequences and moves that work well when paired with Fan veils and learn a short choreography for you to dance.
Suitable for dancers at an Intermediate level and beyond. Fan Veils supplied in class.
Note: Fan Veils require good shoulder, arm and hand mobility and we will be working at improving strength & flexibility throughout the term. Your arms will feel every class!
*We have an order of gorgeous silk fan veils coming in short & long lengths and a wide selection of colours. They will be reasonably priced and are perfect for this class.*

☀️Intermediate-Advanced with Myf
7:30- 8:30pm Mondays @ Darwin Bellydance Studio, Leanyer
8 classes: 6 October - 24 November
Join Myf for Intermediate to Advanced level drills, techniques & sequences – You will increase your fitness, expand your knowledge, nurture & release your inner dancer and foster your confidence as a bellydancer.
Note: THIS CLASS REQUIRES 6 PEOPLE TO PAY IN FULL TO RUN PLEASE CONTACT MYF BEFORE PAYING TO CONFIRM YOUR INTENT TO JOIN THIS CLASS.

☀️Tribal Fusion Bellydance with Myf *Guest teacher for this term only
6-7:30pm Tuesday @ Darwin Bellydance Studio, Leanyer
8 classes: 15 July - 2 September
While Sharon is away, the class is going to be exploring aspects of Tribal Fusion Dance made famous by Rachel Brice & The Indigo - think tribal undulations, sidewinders, sinuous serpentine spinal moves and awe inspiring isolations.
Don’t fear - there is no exam at the end, it’s all about having a go! You’ll be finessing your technique from where you are now, expanding your Tribal repertoire and learning a dance that is much requested and hasn’t be taught for several years! (….it’s a surprise).
We recommend that regular Wednesday dancers move to this class for this term if they can.

⚠️Intermediate Tribal Fusion Bellydance in Palmerston *Not running in Term 4* ⚠️
This class is taking a break while Sharon is away.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support of the class in past terms.
We’d love our regular class members to keep dancing. Sharon will discuss the options for you to move to the Tuesday Tribal Fusion Class in Leanyer, one of the 2 intermediate classes in Nightcliff OR if you prefer to stay in Palmerston & spend some time on the basics, join the Palmerston Beginners Class (Myf promises she’ll find ways to keep you amused and learning!!).😄

⚠️The Wednesday Advanced Troupe class in Leanyer will take a break this term. ⚠️
Numbers have dropped & stayed low and Myf feels that it’s time to change it up a bit.
Many apologies for any inconvenience caused. I hope you can move to the Tuesday Advanced TF class, the Monday Intermediate-Advanced class or the New Fan Veil Class in Nightcliff on Wednesdays.

In event of cancellation of class due to your teacher being unable to attend and a substitute teacher not available, we will refund or credit missed classes.

Your payment secures your place in class for the term, including access to the facebook groups where class content is posted to support your learning, regardless if you attend class or not.
Your teacher plans each week expecting you to attend. If you fail to attend a class your teacher then needs to catch you up and keep everyone else progressing which increases their work load considerably.
