Friendly and approachable, Barbera produces wines in a wide range of styles, from youthful, fresh and fruity to serious, structured and age-worthy. Piedmonte, Italy this grape's place of origin has been around long before Cabernet Sauvignon. Join us as the owner Federico Primo of Tenuta La Meridiana guides us through his expressions of this highly quaffable grape in which has been growing in these vineyards since 1890! Tastings of 5 wines and small pairing plates are included in the ticket cost. As always seats are limited and do sell out so don't delay to ensure your seat. Federico Primo, born in 1979, arrived in the world of wine through an unconventional path: after several years serving as the chief financial officer (CFO) of an international company, he found himself not fully happy.
A great wine enthusiast, he then matured the decision to realize the dream of becoming a wine producer: in 2017, after a careful planning and study process, he identified Tenuta la Meridiana, a winery in the Monferrato region located in Montegrosso d'Asti focused on the production of Barbera d'Asti.
Despite his origins as an economist and controller, always careful about risk, Federico accepted this entrepreneurial challenge without hesitation. Thanks to commitment, careful planning and hard work, day by day Tenuta la Meridiana grew, oriented itself towards sustainability, expanded its portfolio of products and customers, and focused on continuous improvement, attentive on one side to respecting tradition and the terroir, and on the other to the continuous changes in the market and context in which it operates.
Today Federico is a happy "new" agricultural entrepreneur, who has realized his dream of working in contact with nature, combining his managerial skills with a passion for wine and the promotion of the Italian territory.
Tenuta La Meridiana is now a company focused on producing high quality wines characteristic of its territory, especially Barbera d'Asti, attentive to sustainability, but also strongly market-oriented, ready to take on new challenges and contribute to the growth of the "Made in Italy" reputation.
All ticket sales are final.
