Back It is a social tennis + community experience created by Black Tennis Mentors. It’s not traditional coaching — it’s about connection, culture, movement, and people.
The idea is simple:
🎾 Inclusive tennis for all abilities🤝 Community & networking🧠 Wellness through movement🎶 Good energy, music, and vibes
For Manchester, we are collaborating with AFROSOCIAL for a 2-hour tennis experience across 2 courts, led by qualified coaches, including:
• Social icebreaker warm-up• Fun skill-based drills (beginner-friendly)• Rally-based games & light competition• Cool-down, group moment & content
Then we take it off-court with a social brunch nearby, where the real conversations and connections happen.
About
Black Tennis Mentors (BTM) UK is a community-focused organisation providing mentorship, coaching, and pathways for Black individuals in UK tennis, addressing historical underrepresentation by creating inclusive spaces, celebrating role models (via platforms like Tennis Black List), and developing future leaders, coaches, and players through accessible programs and initiatives like the "Back It" mobile club and Project AA, aiming to foster diversity and produce homegrown champions.
