TENNESSEE WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER TRAINING WITH FIELD PRACTICAL DAY!! Sponsored by Tennessee Division of Forestry in cooperation with South Roane County Fire Dept. And ESSI Wildfire. S-130 Field practical Certification. Wildland Firefighter Training opportunities. Practical Day is Open to all. MAY 2, 3, 4, 2025, in Kingston, TN. Exact field day Location to be determined. ESSI is the Proctor for the Practical day. Class Schedule: Friday, May 2, 7 to 10 pm, Class lecture & course Review. Saturday, May 3, 8 am to 5 pm, Field Pratical Day. Sunday, May 4, 9 am, work Capacity Test (Pack Test) Fort South West Point Kingston TN.37763. 45 Pound Pack, 3 Miles in 45 Mins. A liability waiver is Required Prior to WCT testing. Sunday, 12 am to 6 pm, RT-130 Refresher Training covering interface ops/Shelter Deployment and LCES. To Attend the classes, you MUST HAVE COMPLETED www.NWCG.gov. or NFA.gov Blended Learning Classes available Free on Line. or currently have your S-130 Basic wildland firefighter Prior to attending. NWCG Bleeded course Required are; S-130 Basic Wildland fire fighting, S-190 Basic wildland fire Behavior, L-180 Human factors in wildland firefighting. YOU MUST HAVE THE ON LINE COURSE CERTIFICATION IN HAND TO ATTEND. this will be a free course to all. sponcered by the Tennessee Division of Forestry, ESSI wildfire, and South Roane County Fire Dept.. Field Day Requirements: POSSIBLE LIVE FIRE ACTIVITY. Nomex or Cotton Pants (blue jean or Dienum pants) prefer Fire Retardent material. 8 inch HI Boot, Leather preferred. work Gloves, Leather preferred. Safety glasses. Long sleeve Shirt Nomex or Cotton Prefered. Hard hat or Helmet. FIREFIGHTING ACTIVITY May BE WITH LIVE FIRE. a Member of the community will Possabilly be conducting a Prescribed burn on their Proporty and the class May Assist as part of our training but it is NOT REQUIRED. this is a Pre set Privite Prescribed burn weather Permitting.
