Tenement Jazz Band for Kids & Disco

An interactive traditional jazz experience and regular sell-out at The Jazz Bar. Young audiences are welcomed right into the heart of the music as authentic songs burst to life from a live band, with real instruments, lively singing, rhythm and movement. Children don’t just watch, they clap, dance and feel the thrill of a live performance.

No nursery rhymes here expect traditional jazz full of swing and soul, creating something that grown-ups get to enjoy too. From Scottish Jazz Award winners, a proper gig atmosphere, just earlier in the day.

And parents, we’ve got you covered too! With our fully licensed bar, you can sip on your favourite cocktail, enjoy a cold beer, or unwind with a glass of wine while the kids groove to the tunes. We also have an impressive non-alcoholic drink selection.

But that’s not all- there’s a 30-minute disco after the show for anyone still needing to party and burn off even more energy!

The show starts at 2pm and consists of two 30min sets with a quick break in between. 30min of disco to follow. Please arrive early- doors open at 1.30pm.

Snacks and juices for children available to purchase from the bar.

This is not a drop off event- adults must remain with the children at all times.

The important stuff: Please note we’re a basement venue and, due to the historic nature of the building, there’s no disabled access and limited pram storage (all buggies need to be folded down). We’re partially seated, so arrive early for the best chance of a seat.
