Tending the Hearth: A Space for Individual & Collective Grief

Note that this grief gathering -- inclusive of its facilitators and wholistic wellness offerings -- is NOT a replacement for psychotherapy. While our offerings may provide some mental health benefits, it is NOT a substitute for professional psychological treatment from a licensed therapist or clinician. If you are needing primary psychological support, we encourage you to seek out professional mental health providers in your area.

Grief -- both individual and collective -- needs places, spaces, and community to be held, acknowledged, felt, and released. Note that with the exception of the spaceholders speaking and creating a felt soundscape for grief, this will be silent, no-talking event.

Come join Davis Wellness Collective spaceholders Carrie Agasid, Neelkantha Shah, Aarti Subramanin, and RiverRok as we build, create, and rest in a community grief sanctuary.

Gathering will include a community altar and blessing, reflections on grief, candlelight ritual, guided meditation, and an immersive 50-min sound journey. Sound healing instruments will include singing bowls, gong, chimes, and more.

Due to the meditative nature of this event, ages 16+ are welcome to attend (under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian).

Seating is limited, and advanced ticket purchase is required. We aim to make this gathering accessible for all and have created a pricing tier to reflect this. Additionally, 30% of tickets have been donated to members within the Davis community.

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, layered clothing, and a water bottle. A journal and pen writing could be beneficial (optional).

Please refrain from wearing scented products, and, though we love our furry friends, we ask that pets remain at home for this evening gathering. We do this to accommodate those who would otherwise be unable to attend. We appreciate your understanding.***

Doors open at 5pm for guests to settle in for the evening. Gathering begins promptly at 5:30pm. Please be mindful of your arrival time. No one will be admitted after 5:30pm.
