The Tenant Certificate Training, developed by Cooperative Christian Ministries and Clinic (CCMC) and made possible by the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation, gives you the tools, knowledge, and confidence landlords are looking for.
When landlords see your Tenant Certificate, they see someone who is prepared, responsible, and serious about being a good tenant.

What Is the Tenant Certificate Training?
This 2-hour interactive workshop helps you understand what it really takes to be a successful renter. You’ll learn about:
• The tenant/landlord relationship as a business partnership
• How to read and understand rental agreements
• Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
• A landlord’s rights and responsibilities
• How to prepare before renting
• How to properly care for a rental property
How Does It Work?
At the end of the workshop, you’ll take a short True/False quiz.
✔️ Score 80% or higher and you’ll earn your Tenant Certificate.
Participants also receive:
• A FREE Renter Kit with items to help care for your rental and stay organized
• A reference folder with helpful contacts and resources
Why This Matters
The Tenant Certificate Training is endorsed by the Hot Springs Landlord Association and the Hot Springs Housing Authority.
Some participating landlords may offer discounts or incentives to certificate holders (at the landlord’s discretion).
Holding a Tenant Certificate shows landlords that you’ve invested time and effort into learning how to manage your household and care for their property responsibly.
Important Notes
• Registration is required to attend
• No more than two people per household
• No childcare provided and children are not permitted during the training
• Please make your own childcare arrangements
