Tenant Leadership Against Displacement (TLAD) Focus Group 3

This is our third and final focus group that will be looking at local tenant needs and barriers faced in achieving those needs. We will have an additional event on co-designing solutions in May which we hope everyone who has attended the first three focus groups will also come join us for!

Through TLAD OVCO (Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization) and OVTU (Oakwood Vaughan Tenant Union) are working to develop tenant leadership in the Oakwood Vaughan/ Little Jamaica neighbourhood.

The information gathered during this event will be utilized to develop tenant leadership courses for local tenants so that as a community we can build capacity to keep people housed!

While this event will be utilized to further TLAD, it is also a safe space meant to give room for tenants to share their experiences and connect with their neighbours. Time will be given at the end to recieve assistance from our tenant leaders on specific questions you are struggling with - this will be advice not legal assistance.

This event is specifically for TENANTs. It is open to anyone residing in the focus area. Priority for this final focus group is on tenants living below Vaughan between St. Clair and Dufferin, but any tenants who weren't able to attend the two previous focus groups are welcome!
